When Jan Acket started his printing company in 1884, his primary purpose was to publish the "De Stad Oss" newspaper. Years later he switched over to producing commercial print and to printing wrappers for margarine packaging. Stimulated by the growth of the regional industry, Acket became a specialist in cardboard packaging.

In 2004 Acket drukkerij-kartonnage succeeded in acquiring the activities, customers and a number of employees from Cartonnagefabriek D.Miedema b.v. of Nieuwegein. Miedema was also one of the more important, respected players in the Dutch market. Later, in 2008, Acket acquired and integrated Van Gorp Vouwkartonnages BV.

Acket drukkerij-kartonnage has now developed into one of the most modern printing companies of folding cartons in the Netherlands.

Both large and small users of packaging in the food and non-food industries rely on Acket for the development and production of their folding cartons. Packaging is an integral part of their marketing strategy, and affects the productivity and logistic performance. That is why Acket, with well over 130 years of experience, has built an organisation that never ceases to give every job the attention it deserves.

Acket uses state-of-the-art equipment for product development, desk-top-publishing, computer-to-plate offset printing with finishing, die-cutting, folding and gluing constructions, warehousing and integral quality assurance, controlled by qualified professionals in a efficient, ISO 9001:2000, ISO14001 and BRC IoP certified organisation.
