At Acket, we’re looking for a Folding and Gluing Machine Operator. Don’t have any experience as an operator yet, or would you like to learn the trade? You’re still very welcome to apply! We’d be happy to train you to become an experienced Folding and Gluing Machine Operator.
Once our colleagues have printed and die-cut the cardboard sheets, you will ensure that they are folded and glued into high-quality packaging, ready for dispatch to the customer. You will be working with modern folding and gluing machines from manufacturers including Jagenberg, MK (Heidelberg) and Heiber Schroeder.
As a Folding and Gluing Machine Operator, you will precisely adjust the machine and continuously monitor the quality of the end product. From simple cardboard wrappers to complex packaging featuring, for example, an autolock, a window or a 4- or 6-point closure. You will ensure that every piece of packaging is produced to perfection.
The duties associated with your role include:
- Setting up, operating and adjusting the folding and gluing machine.
- Checking the quality of the packaging produced.
- Resolving minor faults and anomalies.
- Working together with colleagues to achieve the best possible end result.
Your profile
- You have technical insight and enjoy working with machinery.
- You have an eye for detail and quality.
- Experience as an operator is an advantage, but not essential. Apprentices and career changers are also welcome.
- You take the initiative and are keen to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.
- You enjoy working with others and believe it is important to achieve good results as a team.
- You have a good command of the Dutch language, both written and spoken.
What we offer
- The role is classified under the Kartoflex collective labour agreement, with a corresponding salary ranging from € 2.248,- to € 3.219,- gross every 4 weeks for a 36-hour working week, depending on your knowledge and experience.
- As you work two-shift rotas, you’ll receive a 16% shift allowance on top of your salary.
- In period 5, you will receive an 8% holiday pay allowance.
- You are entitled to 25 days’ holiday and, due to the shift rota, one additional day’s holiday on a full-time basis.
- We’ll start with a fixed-term contract, with the prospect of a permanent contract.
