Your tasks
At Acket, we are looking for a Basic Operator for our Carton Converting Department. In this department, the final processing steps are carried out on the cardboard packaging that has been printed by our Printing Department and die-cut into the correct shape by our Die-Cutting Department.
The duties associated with this position include, among others:
- Packing boxes and packaging at the end of the folding-gluing machine.
- Checking the quality of the packaging and outer cartons.
- Stacking and packing outer cartons onto pallets.
- Replenishing consumables (such as glue, tape, pallets, etc.)
- Carrying out flat-sheet and sorting tasks, such as restacking, topping up and separating packaging, as well as unpacking and repacking returned packaging in the event of quality issues.
- Loading cardboard sheets into the machine correctly.
- Assisting the folding and gluing machine operator with setting up the machine.
Your profile
- You enjoy hands-on work and have a keen eye for order and tidiness.
- You enjoy working as part of a team and communicate easily with colleagues.
- You enjoy variety and have a positive attitude.
- You are fluent in Dutch, both written and spoken.
What we offer
- The role is classified under the Kartoflex collective labour agreement, with a corresponding salary ranging from €2,187 to €2,304 gross every four weeks for
a 36-hour working week, depending on your knowledge and experience. - As you work two-shift rotas, you’ll receive a 16% shift allowance on top of your salary.
- In period 5, you will receive an 8% holiday pay allowance.
- 25 days’ holiday and, due to shift work, 1 extra day’s holiday on a full-time basis.
- We’ll start with a fixed-term contract, with the prospect of a permanent contract.
